Description
[Side 1] Billy discusses long working hours on farm in past, talks about working with horses, recalls blacksmith's visits, reflects on decline in use of horses locally, describes barn, stable, granary and cowshed, lists local farm workers in past, compares feeding 'beast' [= cattle] now and in past. [Side 2] Billy recalls impressive size of cattle and bacon pigs in past, compares working conditions and life as farm worker now and in past. Note: Recording date 1957-03 noted by ear, 1957-03-01 written on lacquer disc label.
