Description

[Side 1] Sidney tells series of anecdotes, describes getting up early one morning to milk cows and returning home to realise it was 3am, recalls falling asleep as young lad while minding waggon and waking up to find horses and cart gone, describes panic and distress as he chased after waggon. [Side 2] Sidney recalls taking sheep from Cradley to Broughton Hacket in torrential rain, stopped at public house in White Hall before carrying on to Broughton Hacket, had to stay overnight as Bransford Bridge washed away, describes journey home through floods following day.

Sidney b. Cradley, local school till aged 12, whole life except 2 years in Cradley.
