Description
[Side 1] George stresses variety important for young farm workers, discusses different types of horse plough, recalls local farmer struggling to use swing plough on heavy soil, discusses dairy farming and recalls local farms making cheese and butter. [Side 2] George lists typical farm workers in past, incl. waggoner, 'nag-man' [= stable hand], and foreman, describes farm work prior to mechanisation, comments younger generation now prefer office work and expect regular leisure time, discusses travel before bus and motor car, recalls seeing first penny farthing in village.
