Name of the author is conveyed through the beginning of the introduction (folio 3r), נודע ביהודה... אריה, by an acrostic established by the first 16 words of the treatise proper, יושר האהבה והחבה דעת החכמים אשר ראו יקר הודה מספרים מורים ומלמדים דרכיה יחדו נכונו אמרו, as well as the last words of the treatise: יאדיר וי׳א׳מ׳ י"ץ [יהודה אריה ממודינא ישמרהו צורו].
Publishers (on title page and in folio [2v]): Shelomoh Ḥayim and his son Avraham Ḥaver ṭov: נדפס לבקשת כמ׳׳ר שלמה חיים ובנו אברהם חבר טוב.
Dedication to Yehonatan Śimḥah ben Avraham le-vet Śimḥah by the publishers, folio [2r]: אל... הבחור... יהונתן שמחה בן... אברהם לבית שמחה.
