MS Roth 115 is the class mark which Roth assigned to a collection of handwritten and printed broadsides, which he describes as a “portfolio of occasional poems, mainly epithalamia, presented to the bride and bridegroom on their marriage: some in folio or double folio, and to a large extent in the form of enigmas … mainly from Italy, 17th–18th centuries” (Roth, “Catalogue”, in Alexander Marx: Jubilee Volume, vol. 1 (New York, 1950), no. 115). When Roth’s collection came to Leeds, MS Roth 115 contained 14 handwritten and 23 printed items. The manuscript items are catalogued now as MS Roth 115/1–14.
