Pictorial 18th century engraved trade card of John Ball. Trader details inside ornate frame with smaller frame at top of card depicting chairs and crown with caption 'J. Ball Chair Maker'. Manuscript ink note on reverse 'Recd [Received] Nov 1729 of Cpt [Captain] John Clark the sum of eleven shillings in full for one elbow chaire and all demands' signed by John Ball.



Transcription: John Ball at the Crown & Three Chairs in ye Minories, near Little Tower Hill LONDON. Makes & Sells all Sorts of Cane Chairs, Silk Chairs, Leather Chairs, Matted Chairs & Couches for Sea or Land at Reafonable [Reasonable] Rates.
