Pictorial 19th century engraved trade card of Allen [Abraham Allen] depicting carved table with curtained windows with view of trees through and carved table in centre. Trader details in a variety of typefaces with decorative flourishes. Street number 61 ensconced in decorative oval in centre of card. Print marks visible, framing uncut card.
Transcription: New Furniture Warehouse 61 PALL MALL Designer & Manufacturer ALLEN Has the honor to acquaint the Nobility and Gentry, that he has open'd private Ware Rooms, for the exprefs [express] purpose of supplying the most fashionable Furniture Calicoes at such moderate charges that he shall have no Competitor: And in order to merit the patronage of the Nobility & Gentry, he undertakes to make up every kind of furniture to which such goods are adapted with an Elegance & taste not usually met with.
