Description

Pictorial 19th century engraved trade card of J. Parker [John Parker], depicting chaise longue, chair, dressing table mirror and table. Trader details in a variety of typefaces with decorative flourishes. 'I' thought to be used interchangeably. Remains of previous blue paper mount and glue present on reverse.


Transcription: I. [J] PARKER, BUILDER, CABINET MAKER & Paper Hanger, adjoining the Church, WOODSTOCK. A great variety of Paper Hangings, Cabinet & Upholstery goods always on hand, or made to order on the shortest notice. Frames Regilt, Looking Glasses Silvered &c. Challener & Co
