Description

Pictorial 19th century engraved trade card of Thomas Gilbert depicting chair, sofa, and small circular table. Carved curtain pole with elaborate swags edges card. Freemasons mottos 'NEVER DESPAIR' and 'NOTHING WITHOUT LABOUR' in centre of card surrounding image of beehive and foliage. Trader details in a variety of typefaces with decorative flourishes.
