Description

Tape recording of a long interview between Rogert Garfitt and Jon Silkin. Includes three cassette tapes labelled 'Jon Silkin Interview'. Interview divided into 6 sections, majority ddated 04 Jul 1982, with final section dated 01 Sept 1982. Also includes clean typescript drafts of poems by Silkin, which were sent to Garfitt. Titles include Double-pleading, Countenance like lightning, Tolstoy's broher plants a green stick in their estate at Yasnaya Polyana; South Africa's Bird of Paradise Flower, Jarapiri, The excellence of an animal, Yes, We use the language and The cat does not sleep.
