Description
Pictorial late 18th or early 19th century engraved trade card of Sparrow in green ink. Trader details in a variety of typefaces in oval beadwork frame in centre of card and on banner underneath. Images of vases with leaning figures, tombs and fireplaces in each corner of card. Material draped across cameo profile of head at top of card. Remains of previous brown paper mount and manuscript pencil note in John Bedford's hand on reverse 'George Sparrow, Stamford. 1811 (Holden's Dir.)'
