Description

Highly pictorial late 18th century engraved trade card of Boulter's Museum with large image filling card depicting group of museum objects. Depicted on table in centre of card are large vase with two handles and shield decorated with three skulls on chevron, with group of books to right and cased butterflies and other objects on floor in foreground. Trader details on unfurled paper underneath jug. Cabinet with open drawers in background to left and taxidery birds in cases on wall in distance. To right, drawn curtain with tie backs inscribed with museum name. Manuscript pencil note on reverse 'F31.76 (?)'.
