Elaborate 18th century engraved trade card of Joseph Grindley mounted on card. Shop sign for 'Three trunks and two buckets' framed at top of card, depicting group of trunks and buckets. Trader details in a variety of typefaces with decorative flourishes within ornamental floral framework.

Makes and Sells all Sorts of Strong Travelling Trunks, Portmanteaus & Sumpter Trunks, Post Chaise Trunks & Budgets, Canteens, Valeezes [Valises], Portmanteaus, Saddle Bags, Engine Pipe, Fire Buckets, Jacks &c. with all other kinds of Jackt Leatherware, at the moft reafonable [most reasonable] Rates. NB. Gentlemen, Merchants & others, may be supply'd [supplied] with Packing Trunks of all sorts.
