Description
Pictorial 19th century lithographed trade card of Kohaut-Drieghe depicting chest of drawers, table with dressing table mirror and billiard table in black ink. Trader details in a variety of typefaces with decorative flourishes. Enamelled card or carte porcelaine. Remains of previous blue paper mount and glue present on reverse.
French transcription: RUE DE BRUXELLES TOUT PRÈS DE LA PORTE NO. 87. J.B.TE KOHAUT-DRIEGHE Chéniste et Fabricant de Billards à GAND. A l'honneur de prévenir le Public qu'il tient un assortiment de Meubles et Billards faits à l'epreuve, il ose espèrer qu'il daignera l'honorer de sa bienveillance. Lith. de F & E Gyselynck a Gand. English translation: NO 87. RUE DE BRUSSELS CLOSE TO DOOR. J.B.TE KOHAUT-DRIEGHE Cabinetmaker and Billiard table Manufacturer in GHENT. has the honour of humbly presenting a collection of furniture and billiard tables for the approval of the public, and hopes that they will deign to honour him with their goodwill.
