Description

Simple 19th century engraved trade card of David Laing. Trader details in a variety of typefaces with decorative flourishes. Remains of previous blue paper mount and glue present on reverse.


Transcription: DAVID LAING, Painter, Plumber, Glazier and Paper Hanger. No. 2, VILLIERS STREET, STRAND. Established upwards of half a Century. (Late Morrison & Laing) GILDING, GRAINING, WRITING AND ORNAMENTAL PAINTING. GAS FITTING, REPAIRING IN GENERAL.
