Description

Pictorial 19th century engraved trade card of Robert Gleadow with hand coloured details. Seated female figure in blue dress depicted resting against barrel and holding anchor. Anvil, spade and axe in foreground, ship with sails in sea in background, suggestive of international trade. Trader details in a variety of typefaces with decorative flourishes. Some damage on reverse where previous mount has been removed.
