Description
Highly pictorial 19th century engraved trade card of Taylors & Perry, depicting stone plaque in centre with inscription of trader details. Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths livery tops plaque with motto 'Justitia Virtutum Regina', suggestive of trader's membership. Angel leans on plaque to right, with putto standing to left. Elephant, palm trees and ship in background denote international influence and wares of trader. Assorted boxes, shells, trumpet and tortoise visible in foreground. Remains of previous blue paper mount and glue present on reverse.
