Description

Two letters addressed to Read, and a copy of one letter sent in reply concerning the attempted prosecution of John Sharkey and Gustav Netzger for 'arranging and presenting an indecent exhibition' following a 'happening' staged in September 1966 by Herman Nitsch. Lucie-Smith asks for Read's support in raising funds to support both men.
