Description

This file includes 3 typescript letters to Herbert Read from the photographer Roloff Beny, along with carbon copy responses from Read, and correspondence with the journal Canadian Art, edited by Paul Arthur. Read provided text to the journal under the heading 'Man and his World' to accompany Beny's photographs in an article connected to Expo 67. A carbon copy typescript of 'Man and his World' 6ff, is included in the file, as is a carbon copy typescript of a reference for Beny who was applying for a Canadian Council Grant. Beny notes his sadness at the death of Walter [Neurath, co-founder of Thames and Hudson], and also of Beny's friend Vivien Leigh.
