Description

Handwritten and typewritten research notes, annotated typescripts and press cuttings in English, German and French by the sociologist and art historian Arnold Hauser, with whom Maurice de Sausmarez worked at the University of Leeds. Also includes copies of testimonials in support of Hauser's application for a Fellowship to write a book on Mannerism dated 10 April 1958 and a typewritten letter from Hauser to de Sausmarez dated 7 March 1959 discussing leaving Leeds for London.
