Description
Material relating to the Artists' International Association and Maurice de Sausmarez's involvement as a member and later as Chairman of the Central Committee between 1946 and 1948. De Sausmarez first exhibited with the AIA in 1935 and his participation continued throughout the Second World War and beyond. He contributed to their Everyman Prints series and was part of the Sub-Committee for the exhibition 'Painters To-day' in 1947. The series contains press cuttings, exhibition catalogues, correspondence and administrative documents relating to events, fundraising and the membership.
