Description

Long Hudibrastic satire largely on the Scottish Presbyterian covenanters, in two parts. Part One is preceded by "The Authors Appologie to the Reader", in prose. Part Two ends with a Latin version of the final 36 English lines.


Blank: pp.[i-iii], [1-5], [1]; and flyleaves (2 ff. front and back, last f. mutilated), except that recto of f.1 bears inscription (2), and recto of f.2 the signature, ca.1700, [P?][a:?] Wauchope [?]. Text of the last constituent poem and the corresponding Latin version is in a roman hand. Several watermarks. Bd. cont. calf.
