A collection of music scores, mainly eighteenth-century British publications, formed by the musicologists Roger Fiske (1910-1987) and Richard Platt (1928-2013); also includes a small number of books on music history.

Biography or history

Richard Swaby Platt was born in 1928 in London. Platt was an artist and musicologist. He was a specialist in 18th century English music. For many years, he lived and worked in Falmouth, Cornwall. Platt died in 2013. Roger Fiske was bron in 1910 in Surbiton. At Wadham College, Oxford, he studied English. From 1939-1959 he worked for the BBC organising educational music broadcasts primarily for schools. Fiske ws also a composer. The Bodleian Library holds a collection of his unpublished manuscripts. Fiske died in 1987.
