Description

A group of 10 black and white press photographs and a small envelope of negatives, issued by the British Man-made Fibres Federation. Photographs have text on reverse, stating they show University of Leeds Department of Textile Industries exhibition "Woven Fabrics and Design" 30th September - 15th October at the Hamilton House, London Headquarters of the British Man-made Fibres Federation. Photographs are either of people or textile displays. Persons in photographs include Mr W P Courtauld, Sir Harold Holdsworth, Sir Charles Morris (Vice Chancellor, University of Leeds), Sir John Hanbury Williams, Professor J B Speakman (Head of Department of Textile Industries); Major B Beachcroft (Clothworkers Guild), Mr Cyril Kisbey (staff); Sir Edward Crowe; Sir William Palmer, students and parents. Negatives are of further displays and fabrics.
