Description
Original manuscripts relating to the alteration and repairs to Viscount and Lady Barrington's London home at 20 Cavendish Square between 1755 and 1757 with other papers relating to sales and contracts in the 1750s. Includes highly detailed invoices for Carpenter and Joiners, Masons Work, Brick Work, Carvers Work, Plaisterers [Plasterers] Work, Bricklayers, Plumbers, Painter and Decorators and a detailed bill from the Gardener noting prices of plants, trees, flowers and herbs.
Also includes research papers relating to the archive compiled by John Bedford including correspondence, photocopies of inventories and descriptions of 20 Cavendish Square, notes and a list of documents made by John Bedford with 1 x CD-Rom titled "JB 03 03 09"

This appears to have been purchased by John Bedford as there is an accompanying typescript description of the collection and background. The archive was originally stored in a blue folder.
