Description

Autograph letter dated 11 Oct. Letter begins 'I am not at all sure but that you have arrived at the best'.

WMR advises JLT about publishing 'gossip of the studios' articles. He suggests that arts news can be compiled from weekly journals and sold to monthly journals. WMR notes that he has done this kind of writing himself for the Crayon and Weldon's Register and adds:

'my chief (I might say now my only) sources of information are the Penny Reading-rooms in the Strand and Leicester Square, to one of which I go every week, & see at one view about everything that is being done of a reportable kind.'
