Description

A turquoise hanging panel with hemmed top and bottom, with an image of mountains, clouds and water in supplementary weft in greens, browns and beige in different thicknesses. The warp is in a blue, turquoise and thinner green thread and weft is predominantly brown. The style of design is Japanese in character. This was made by Mary Barker MBE, the first female textiles student at the University of Leeds.
