Description

This shawl was purchased in an Afghan refugee camp (possibly Katcha Gari) situated on the outskirts of Peshawar in the North West Frontier Province of Pakistan, where it was also manufactured. It is woven from brown woollen yarn with a green stripe running down one selvedge. It is self fringed. Each fringed end is decorated by a striped band near the edge in green, black and red.
