Description

Hand woven textile of maroon with broad red stripes, with white and green zig zag patterns. It is edged with a wide blue cotton border with machine embroidered patterns of flowers and two words, 'Ana' and 'Jitto' or Litto', possibly a name. It is believed to be one of the pieces brought back to the University of Leeds from South America by Professor Aldred Barker in the 1920s.
