Description

Cream museum exhibit card from the Department of Colour Chemistry, displaying 8 annotated photomicrographs of lengths and cross sections of the vegetable fibre Jute. Top row: ends and typical fibres, stained with Herzberg's solution. Mounted in Euparal X800.

Middle row: Fibre bundles: i. stained with Herzberg's solution. Mounted in Euparal X800. ii. unstained X800.

Bottom row: cross sections i. hand cut sections stained with Delafield's Haematoxylin X800. ii. Chemical sections X400.
