Description

Cream museum exhibit card from the Department of Colour Chemistry, displaying 6 annotated samples of screen printed cottons and linens by Sundour using vat dyes. Samples are glued to apertures.

Samples 1 and 2. linen;

3. cotton and linen;

4. slub cotton;

5. cotton satin;

6. fancy cotton.

All are in abstract geometric patterns, with the exception of No 4 (square spiral with uneven lines) and No 6 (abstract pattern with leaf motif), in the Art Deco style.
