Description

A drawn pointpaper design produced for the Broiderers of Winchester Cathedral by Louisa Pesel, referenced as series 3, number AA: kneeler or all-over chair seat. The design for needlepoint is an all-over geometric flower repeat pattern showing two borders, referred to as 'ribbons'. There are notes on colour and application, including alternative shapes between the flowers, and the possible use as a rug or narrow doormat. Pesel has signed the bottom right corner.
