Description

Cream museum exhibit card from the Department of Colour Chemistry, displaying 6 annotated samples of treated and printed cotton. The top three samples show the stages of preparation before printing: grey, singed, bleached. The remaining three large samples show the stages of printing: printed, steamed, finished. The print is of a bold floral design against a vivid blue ground. Samples are glued to apertures.
