Description

Cream museum exhibit card from the Department of Colour Chemistry, displaying 7 annotated samples of dyed woollen textiles. Samples are glued to apertures, one with additional tape.

1. Bleached Flannel;

2. Tennis Ball Covers (white);

3. Cochineal Scarlet (hunting and uniform cloths) piece dyed;

4. Billiard Cloth (blue and yellow acid dyes) piece dyed;


Wool dyed indigo point, topped with an after-chrome blue (samples 5-7):
