Description

Cream museum exhibit card from the Department of Colour Chemistry, displaying 6 annotated samples of dyed woven textiles. From top left:

1. (warp) Celanese, (weft) cotton - broken key pattern in gold and blue;

2. (warp) Celanese, (weft) spun silk - plain weave;

3. (warp) Celanese, (weft) nett silk - yarn dyed pin stripe;

4. (warp) Celanese, (weft) nett silk - floral printed;

5. Celanese - plain weave blue;

6. Celanese - plain weave - gauze.


Samples are glued to apertures.
