Description

A small sample weave in cream with light blue warp border stripes. There are supplementary weft stripes at the top and bottom and a central design of supplementary warp and weft to make a checkerboard design. The weaving is loose. This is one of a set of four similar pieces made by Mary Barker MBE, the first female textiles student at the University of Leeds.
