Description

A hardback with black covers. Book no.1. Contains woven, patterned fabric samples most of which are white and monochrome. A few have coloured patterning and a few have a black or coloured ground. Most samples have geometric patterning, a few have floral or conversational motifs such as butterflies. Most samples have a white ground.


The book has been compiled as part of the former Leeds University Textile Museum but the provenance of the individual samples is unknown. At least one in this book is labelled in French.
