Description

Printed in red and blue with circle and star motifs on cotton fabric. Ajrakh printing is associated with Sindh province (Southern Pakistan), and Kutch region in Gujerat (India). Mud is used as a resist, with mordant printing. The dyebaths traditionally are indigo (blue) and madder (red).

The technique involved in production of an Ajrak has at least ten stages.
