Description

This pale orange and brown silk sarung, or sarong, with weft ikat flowers, consists of two identical components which have been woven together but then separated when they were removed from the loom. They should be sewn together to form a sarung but were kept as two separate pieces. Partly used gold thread is used on the flower motifs. It is also know as a buya sabe.
