Description

Rectangle of natural coloured linen fabric, machine hemmed along all four sides with an outlined design, in black ink, embroidered in shades of pale green woollen threads in a variety of embroidery stitches. The sample is incomplete.

In the centre are embroidered the letters MCP 1898. These possibly refer to Louisa Pesel's sister Margaret. The original Pesel card label is attached.
