Description

Cream museum exhibit card from the Department of Colour Chemistry, displaying 11 annotated photomicrographs of lengths and cross sections of animal fibres associated with textiles. Top row: i. Cashmere, ii. Mohair (each with scale structure and cross sections)

Middle row: i. Llama (scale structure and two cross-sections), ii. Alpaca (scale structure and cross sections, white and brown).

Bottom row: i. Camel (scale structure and cross-sections) ii. Romney wool, cortical cells and an empty tube of scale cells.
