Description

Cream museum exhibit card from the Department of Colour Chemistry, displaying 6 annotated samples of dyed bemberg cuprammonium woven textiles. Samples 1 and 2: satins (light golden yellow, light blue); 3: georgette (green); 4. satin (grey) 5. crepe (light beige) 6. crepe de chine (medium beige). The fabrics employ different combinations of twisted, untwisted and crepe warp and weft threads. Samples are glued to apertures.
