Description

Cream museum exhibit card from the Department of Colour Chemistry, displaying seven annotated samples of dyed worsted for bunting. Samples are glued to apertures, some attached with tape.


Worsted warp and weft bunting, in different stages of preparation.

1. loom state;

2. crabbed, scoured;

3. dyed with acid dyes (red);

4. finished (red);

5 - 7. 'Types of shades of good light fastness'. (yellow, green, dark blue)

'Used for all kinds of flags and decorative purposes'.
