Description

Cream museum exhibit card from the Department of Colour Chemistry, displaying nine annotated samples of dyed viscose (warp) and cotton (weft) satin weave corset cloth. Samples are glued to apertures.


Apertures entitled: 1. Loom state; 2. singed; 3. desized, scoured and bleached;

4. dyed with direct dyes; 5. backfilled and finished.


Also four additional apertures showing types of shades: pale pink, yellow and blue
