Description
Cream museum exhibit card from the Department of Colour Chemistry, displaying ten annotated samples of dyed corset cloth with cotton warp and viscose weft. Samples are glued to apertures. (One aperture with tape strip)
Apertures entitled: 1. loom state; 2. singed; 3. desized, scoured and bleached;
4. dyed with direct dyes; 5. backfilled and finished. All these samples with the same small flower brocade pattern, three in cream and two in pink.
A further five apertures show different types of brocade designs. All in pink.
