Description

Cream museum exhibit card from the Department of Colour Chemistry, displaying 11 annotated samples of dyed textiles. Samples are attached to apertures with tape.

Oxidisable bases of the ursol type are used, together with mordants.

the samples are:

1- Ringtail opossum listed in these colours:

-Natural

-Blue

-Light brown

-Sable

2- Australian Opossum listed in these colours:

-Natural blue

-Natural pale red,dyed blue

-Natural red

-Dark blue

-Bleached and dyed beige
