Description
The file contains a specification of work by Phillips of Hitchin and a list of costings for elements of the restoration. There is also a one page approximate estimate.
A twelve page summary of the work lists the number of men needed for erecting scaffolding and the numbers and specifications of various pieces of the clock which include cornices, finials and brackets. Smaller pieces of paper list the sizes and costs of various pieces of timber.
The file contains a typescript list of work required to the clock case which comprises 14 pages and a summary of work on the clock case up to the first floor. Also included are two letters from H. W. Pate & Co. Ltd. about wood turning for the repair of the clock.
There are two postcards of the clock, one black and white and one colour.
