The file contains letters relating to the sale and shipping of the panelling from Newton's house at 35 St Martin's Street, London, WC2. The house was demolished.
Phllips sold the panelling to Mrs R. W. Babson, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. The file includes letters about shipping the panelling to Boston for use in Babson College.
There are technical drawings showing the panelling and pencil sketches. The file includes a photograph of the panelling as it was re-erected at the college.
