Content of letters includes discussion of publications, examination of students, organisation of talks, documents relating to the G. Wilson Knight Memorial Conference 9th-10th April 1986. Manuscript notes containing biographical details relating to Christopher Holme with the beginnings of a letter to Reginald Carr drafted on the reverse.


Letters regarding the acquisition of Berry's archival material to the Brotherton Collection including:

Letter, dated 20th May 1975, informing Berry that the Brotherton Collection has recently acquired a collection of his manuscripts, typescripts and other papers from I.D. Edrich.

Letter from Masson, dated 22nd July, 1976 thanking Berry for his acknowledgement of Masson's work "Poetic Sound Patterning Reconsidered" and also indicates that the Brotherton Collection would welcome other material which Berry might wish to present.

Letter from Dennis Cox (Librarian), dated 12th October 1979, thanking Berry for the details he has provided about a collection of letters written to Berry by Wilson Knight and making arrangements to organise the transfer of the letters to Leeds.

Letter, dated 11th March 1980, formally acknowledging receipt of the Wilson Knight letters which Berry presented to the Brotherton Collection. This is accompanied by a certificate of acceptance from the Brotherton Committee.

Letter, dated 30th November 1982, from Dennis Cox to Wilson Knight discussing the large collection of Berry's papers held in the Brotherton Collection.

Letter from Reginald Carr, dated 19th July 1991, thanking Berry for the Wilson Knight letter which he sent for addition to the Brotherton Collection.

Letter from Chris Sheppard, dated 23rd January 1992, thanking Berry for the latest group of papers he has presented.
