Mainly Zygmunt Bauman's handwritten manuscript notes referring to works by other authors [some possibly relate to recommended reading lists for his lectures, some of which are included]. Others may refer to his published works in the late 1980s. Arranged by theme: Culture; Theory; Finland; Europa; Class and [indecipherable, possibly] Family/Society; Publishers information on new books CST; Untitled folder of notes including notes on works about Nazi Germany and Jews; [George] Simmel; [Walter] Benjamin [and another indecipherable title]; [indecipherable - possibly "Intellectuals"]
Most are undated but some are written on reverse of documents dated lates 1970s to early 1980s.

Biography or history
Zygmunt Bauman published "Legislators and Interpreters: On Modernity, Postmodernity and Intellectuals (1987) and Modernity and the Holocaust (1989).
Provenance
Part of 2nd deposit of material from the home of Zygmunt and Janina Bauman in 2017 [following his death].Contents of each file were found in envelopes marked with said titles.
Original box [39/1] aso contained digital material [3 inch compact floppy disks and 3.5 floppy disks] c.1991- c.1993
